My morning thoughts for the Stranger:
Good morning world and words
That lay silent through the night.
Good morning world,
I offer my chest.
Be kind today.
Build sturdy bridges,
Between life
To lives,
To moments.
As if solitude…
Were …
Not…
Ill Step
Forward
Out of mine…
So his fears
Are mine and his
Tears stick to my
Cheeks.
In me, the stranger, will feel at home
By the fireside of my
Burning heart.
We’ll walk, hand to hand,
Across the buttress of humanity.
There with me,
Not alone.
Good morning day, give me this strength
To walk with them,
To my fires,
Unrelentingly giving…
Wanting in their laze
To leave aglow rather
Than blaze
Come sunrise or rainrise or snowrise
Let me to my strength
To his hand
Lead them into me
In bliss
In the moments
Where
I take from
Them the ache of loneliness
Of judgment
I can do that
Yes,
Today…
Tears and pain and blood and yearning
Will be mine not just theirs…
I know, someday a bridge will reach me too.
One hand not mine, maybe two….
But I’m not waiting but wanting…
